Review of Dan Deacon.

This show was utterly geeky. First off all, if you see DD once and you are 19 and you are slightly geeky you are in for a treat. DD will give some you activity-based group dancing instructions while shouting out quirky nonsense. After you get to make corny jokes about Ethan Hawke or other asinine things and make references to things you are too young to get. You just know its cool because everyone here is caucasian, and an art fag 17-21 yrs old. Sorry.


I know, my negative attitude makes me sound vicious and intolerant. But I really guess this only could be fun if you are totally fucked up are a just totally young. Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy listening to Spiderman of the Rings and think he is really original. But I don't hear that at any of the shows it just seems like a huge geek-fest. Maybe I'm too old, its not like I don't have fun (think css-studio b, kanye-amnh) it just seemed boring and lame. Its just not my cup of tea I guess. When mike skinner gave dance instructions I wasn't nearly as embarrassed. I think DD should play a quiet show where the lights are off and everyone is sitting down, but then I guess you could just do that in your room.

Then I think whats the difference between Dan deacon and I? We both are friends with Jt from high school. We both give teenagers instructions. And goddamn if you gave me some supplies and a studio I know that I could make dance music with samples and speed up cartoon voices. So maybe I should go do that..or not.

Anyway this post makes me sound like a complete douchebag so ill have to delete it soon.

Nothings changed since high school

Feb 6, 2008 - several students accuse me of being high and pregnant.
Feb 7, 2008 - eat gai rama with df and realize i might have a vitamin deficiency. gai rama is by far the best dish of thai.
